St. Michael’s Hospital is a powerhouse in medical research, education, and patient care, leading the charge in multiple sclerosis, health equity, brain and heart health, AI innovation, and trauma care—with one of the highest trauma survival rates in North America.
St. Michael’s delivers 2500 babies a year and offers 1 of only 3 “maternal fetal medicine” programs that support high-risk pregnancies and is affiliated with the University of Toronto. The NICU was constructed in 2001 and has not been renovated since then. Your donations will help with the much-needed NICU & Family Birthing Centre project which will support top priorities of the NICU such as:
- Flexible design to give babies and families the most appropriate care, with a hybrid layout that combines shared spaces for interaction and private spaces for quiet and reflection.
- Facilities that meet the highest standards for infection control and patient safety, designed to handle surges in demand, future epidemics and unforeseen emergencies.
- Technology and tools that equip their staff to excel
