Get ready to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and donate! The Dodger is a seriously fun premier charity dodgeball tournament hosted by SMYL in support of the SMYL Research Catalyst Fund at St. Michael’s Hospital.

The SMYL Research Catalyst Fund is dedicated to fuelling world-leading research being led by top scientists at St. Michael’s Hospital—meaning the impact of your support will be felt for generations to come!

This tournament attracts over 200 young professionals in downtown Toronto and has raised over $1.3 million for St. Michael’s since its inception in 2008.

Team Registration

The Dodger consists of 24 teams of 12 team members each battling it out on the court! A team registration fee of $5,000 is required to complete your registration. This fee covers all team members, including their food and drinks for the evening.

Please proceed to the registration table at the entrance (if you have not already registered online) and grab your t-shirts and sign your waiver!

5:15 pm - Opening Remarks
Vanessa Chiu, Associate Director of Community Partnerships at St. Michael’s Foundation will kick off the evening.

5:30 pm - Game On!
Round 1 of the tournament begins! Get ready to duck, dive, and dominate. Each team plays three 15-minute games.

The eight winning teams will play in the quarter finals.
Four teams play in semi-finals.
Two teams battle it out for the championship.

This year, we're turning up the heat! Our finalist teams will go head-to-head with professional Dodgeball Ontario players—yes, the same athletes who will be refereeing throughout the tournament will also be stepping onto the court to show off their skills and challenge our top contenders.
