Help Us Elevate Low- and Middle-Income Country Voices in Global Health Research
This October, more than 100 researchers, clinicians, and decision-makers from around the world will gather in Kigali, Rwanda, to build global acute care research capacity.
“Together, our goal is to strengthen clinical research capacity globally—particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)—to ensure better preparedness for future pandemics and more equitable access to the benefits of clinical science.”
We need your support to help bring researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) to the table, ensuring their voices, experiences, and solutions are represented and heard.
This meeting is a global collaboration between the International Forum for Acute Care Trialists (InFACT; based at Unity Health Toronto), the International Severe Acute Respiratory and Emerging Infection Consortium (ISARIC; based at Oxford University in the UK), and the Centre for Impact, Innovation and Capacity Building for Health Information Systems (CIIC-HIN; based on Kigali, Rwanda).
Travel and accommodation costs average $1,600 USD per delegate, and any contribution towards this will make a meaningful difference.
Acute care involves providing short-term, immediate medical attention to patients with severe or life-threatening conditions, including infections and injuries that afflict more than 60 million people a year. Our goal is to accelerate the capacity to produce and apply research evidence rapidly and effectively to improve outcomes for patients requiring urgent, intensive medical treatment.
Thank you for helping us build a more inclusive future for Global Health Research.
