This Heart Month, I’m raising funds (and my heart rate) for St. Michael’s Hospital!

From February 1–28, I’ll move my body for 28 minutes each day. Any activity counts, and every move helps raise vital funds for St. Mike’s. 

Every donation to my fundraiser helps advance exceptional care for all—fuelling groundbreaking research, providing life-saving equipment, creating state-of-the-art spaces, and supporting our most vulnerable community members.

As I ended this challenge this week, I learned somethings about myself. 

#1. Self motivation is essential.

#2. Rest (easy) days are necessary.

#3. Supportive community very important.

Week 3 (Feb 15 - Feb 21)

Distance = 27.2 Km

Duration = 413 min or almost 7 hrs

As we finished up celebrating the long weekend festivities, this week was much calmer than last week. We took the time to reset the home for the spring, and I was grateful for the loving people around me. 

Week 2 (Feb 08 - Feb14)

Thursday 26th Feb

Steps = 65,017

Distance = 55.8 Km

Duration = 844 min or over 14 hrs

Let the festivities begin!

This week there were some more activity as we got ready for the long weekend. There was preparation for Valentine’s Day, Family Day, and, more importantly, Lunar New Year. I gotta say, we went out a LOT to make sure we had everything we needed to celebrate with close friends and family <3

Week 1 (Feb 01 - Feb 07)

Wednesday 11th Feb

Steps = 55,568

Distance = 41.6 Km

Duration = 558 min or almost 11 hrs

Thank you to everyone cheering me on and checking in. I am doing great. A little tired on some days; but I am grateful and honored to be participating in this challenge and supporting our wonderful foundation.

It Begins

Monday 2nd Feb
Yesterday was the official first day of the 28 for 28 Challenge & I started out strong. 

Thank you to M1Hikesters for making the first day a complete success. We hike the Rouge National Urban Park & it was amazing. Through the Forest, through the Sunshine, through the Snow & through the bitter bitter Cold; we did it.

Shout Out goes to the organizer, Tom Fiore, and to our hike leader, Shafik Shariff. Thank you for keeping us save and bringing the joy.
