Even the Odds is Staples’ partnership with MAP to fund research and innovative, evidence-based solutions across Canada - to help make the future fair for everyone. Thanks to Staples associates, vendors and customers across Canada, Staples is proud to have raised more than $9M for MAP since 2021.

How can I fundraise?
It’s up to you! Staples associates across the country are getting creative and having fun supporting Even the Odds in their communities. Some of our stores are hosting staffroom hot chocolate stands and bakesales, team potlucks and even watch parties of sports events. What will you do?
What does Even the Odds fund?
Even the Odds funds groundbreaking MAP programs across the country, including:
- Navigator, an innovative solution to help people who are unhoused have a better recovery after hospitalization.
- APPLE Schools, an award-winning health promotion initiative to support a healthy start for children in underserved communities.
- Healthy Food Prescription, a landmark research trial to test a promising approach to food insecurity and chronic disease inequities: grocery store vouchers prescribed by physicians to low-income patients with diabetes.
- Our Healthbox, ‘smart’ vending machines that dispense free health supplies, HIV self-tests and essentials, such as warm socks and hygiene products, to people experiencing major barriers to healthcare.
